Should Marajuana Be Made Legal?

There are lots of people and groups who want to see that.  There are several pros and cons to it:

1: It could be taxed, giving the states much needed revenue

2: Since it would be legal, there would be no more violence from gangs and dealers, saving lives.

3: The all inclusive “It’s a personal choice” Issue

The Cons:

1: Why would you put the safety of your family in the hands of an addict?

2: It does effect your body, giving health problems?

3: It effects your reflexes, woiuld you drive on a highway with a bunch of people who have it in their system?

So What do you think?

Courtesy Of Wil Wheaton

Wil Wheaton originally shared this post:

These are two typical Chris Brown supporters on Twitter: barely-literate, vulgar, blaming the victim, and blinded by celebrity. This makes me so sad.
He beat Rihanna so severely, he put her in the hospital, and there are people in the world who are totally okay with that because he’s a famous musician who can dance. Well, I am not one of those people. Violence against women is never, ever, ever okay. It is unforgivable, and it should be unforgettable. Chris Brown should be shunned for the rest of his life, as should all batterers.

Dropping The Ball

The Washington State Child protective services failed miserably when it came to the Powell kids.  The visits to their Dad should have been made in a neutral . place, like a park or restaurant.  In fact, Josh Powell should have never been able to see his kids, because there was kiddie porn on his computer, in addition to the fact he was the prime suspect in the disappearance of his wife.  Instead, 2 young boys are dead, and we may never know what happened to Susan Powell. You can’t fault the social worker, though.  She loved those boys and did what she could.

Courage And Beating The Odds

Props to 2 athletes who last week displayed lots of courage.  1st is Texas Rangers outfielder Josh Hamilton, who manned up and admitted that he had a slip up in his well known recovery from Alcohol and drug addiction.  Then you have NY Giants linebacker Mark Herzlich, who played in the Super Bowl 2 years after being told he might lose his leg to cancer, but made a recovery from that disease. May they continue to be good role models!

Say What?!

This should not be, having young kids being arrested in school for ticky tack offenses like doodling on a desk or burping. Have school admins become so afraid of another Columbine?
